A friend of mine that introduced me to your podcast recommended that I listen to the entire hebrew roots movement series. Thank God for the RSS feed because it works really well to find older episodes ( on iPhone I’m using a podcast app called Overcast and it works great with your feed).. Meanwhile, I made it to episode 11 and you mentioned eating kosher meat to avoid blood.. I grew up JW so I have had this concept of avoiding blood drilled into my head for years but to suggest eating meat that was butchered by a rabbi after hearing 11 episodes…Kosher, yay or nay?
Scott Johnson’s Response: Steve: No I’m not saying meat needs to be kosher, but more so that it is just drained of all blood. That is really the key. Ok so here is what I do for like a pound of ground beef. I use an iron skillet, I put the beef in the pan, I put some organic apple cider vinegar on the meat than then salt it. I cover and let it cook for a while after that I drain it and then put some beef tallow in the pan to restore some of the fat content that was lost when draining and this will make it taste and cook a lot better. For a grill you could just put a little organic apple cider vinegar on the meat than then salt it and then just grill it as the meat will purge of any blood from grilling as long as you cook it long enough.–Scott

I wonder how many of these babies were from rape or incest that an abuser wanted covered up. So I am sending this because I am seeing more Muslims, more Asian Muslims. I am seeing them in Erie which is NOT a sanctuary county. I believe the people who made decisions about where to send them in PA DID look at places with truely cold, bad weather, lots of snow, and poor access to services and chose not to send them there and I am seeing boatloads of them in public. Of course I am seeing them in Pittsburgh, which is located in a sanctuary county, which I expected, but I am seeing them in Erie also.They may have one person who speaks some English, but they have other family members or people with them who DO NOT speak English. Their women are wearing hijab. They look at me. (I am wearing a head covering and a longer than typical skirt.)
