Familiar spirits may come from ancestors’ bonds that need to be broken. Even if we are born again, what our ancestors did i.e. the pacts and bonds they’ve contracted in the occult (Freemasonary, conscious or unconscious witchcraft,etc.) are still running and there has to be a *specific* deliverance in order to stop the curse(s) and cancel the rights ‘legally’ given to the enemy. The familiar spirit may take the shape of anybody, in this case, the ex lover. You may know all this already.

A lot of christians say when you are born again you are spiritually clean all of a sudden, or spirits leave you little by little, but this is a very profitable lie for the enemy. If Christ carried our sins, illnesses, etc. on the Cross, then how come we still sin and fall ill? Same goes for the spiritual cleanness. If anything seems (or plainly looks) wrong, we have to petition the Lord, seize the weapons He makes available to us and fight! Some spirits may leave through spiritual growth and by the touch of the Holy Spirit, but some bonds are too strong to be dissolved on their own (e.g. blood oaths) and any ground the enemy owns he won’t give up easily.

Knowing about what happened in the family (habits, etc.) on both sides helps a lot to know in which direction you need to pray. But at some point it’s impossible to know everything so we need to ask Jesus’ help in prayer to guide us in the deliverance and the process of bondage breaking.

Another direction to look at is the possibility of spiritual seduction your family member might have been exposed to anytime during her christian life (practices she has been exposed to, dogmas she has accepted or people who had some sort of influence on her).

In any case, it looks like the enemy is taking advantage of her emotional situation. The fact that, from what I understand, she wasn’t married to that person, would probably have to be taken into account. Whatever sin the Lord “shows” you, brings to your conscience during the intercession has to be renounced and forgiveness asked for in order to defeat the enemy.

The Lord guide you and your family to spiritual freedom and protection!

Basically I have a family member who I care about a lot. She had a bad break up with her live in bf of nearly 15 years and she has never gotten over it. At her work place is a “church” area with a female chaplain whom she says is her mentor. My family member prayed for a sign from God in order to help her deal with her emotional situation and she said one day she woke up and she saw her ex bf crying and apologizing to her. She said she prayed for confirmation and the same thing happened again. She then went to her female chaplain who told her it was confirmation of what she was seeking.
I explicitly asked her if she physically saw her ex bf in her room both times and she said “Yes”. How does a born again woman pray to God but instead receive a familiar spirit to physically manifest in her bedroom?

Note: Her life consists of work – home – church and caring for ailing family members /friends. She’s not into witch craft or anything related.

If she’s not praying to God then what is she praying to?

Jesus refuted all of this with the story of the rich man and Lazarus. When he stated that the rich man was not allowed to use his personal experience of hell to get people to believe hell is real. This is in harsh contrast to Mary K Baxter, Tim Weise and others who either profess Jesus had them experience hell to specifically let people know it’s real and/or those who have toured hell as they receive knowledge from fallen angels.

This is celestial con artistry. They’ve been doing this trick since the nephilim ruled the earth as terrestrial entities.
